8 November 2023
The Alvor Trio
In this exhilarating concert, the virtuosity of Mozart's 'Magic Flute' contrasts with Debussy's Sonata for Flute, Viola, and Harp, a groundbreaking ensemble work that evokes impressionistic soundscapes. Then, we journey to the pastoral landscapes of England with Vaughan Williams' Folk Songs, which capture the timeless essence of the country's rural heartland. The program transcends boundaries of time and geography, creating a beautiful dialogue between different musical traditions and the shared human experiences they express.
